Mizuki's Room

Mizuki: Nngh... Yawn...
Mizuki: What time is it...? Eight? Huh, I woke up earlier than usual.
Mizuki: I finished work early last night, and then... Oh, right... I passed out at my desk.
Mizuki: Great, I've got ink stains on my cheek from my notes. What a crummy way to start a new day...
*Phone Ringing*
Mizuki: Huh? Who's calling me this early? Oh, it's An.
An: <Hey, Mizuki! How's it going? Are you coming to school today?>
Mizuki: School? But it's Saturday, isn't it?
An: <I knew it... You forgot.>
Mizuki: Forgot about what? Is something going on today?
An: <The School Festival is today!>
Mizuki: Oh, yeah... I forgot all about it.
An: <Haha! Classic Mizuki...>
An: <Our class just finished setting up, so I'm just wandering around. You wanna come? There are food stalls and all sorts of other stuff to do.>
Mizuki: Hmm, I guess I could...
Mizuki: (Oh, but...)
Student A: Is that the person you were talking about?
Student B: I was just a little curious about why you dress the way you do.
Mizuki: (I don't really want that kind of attention...)
Mizuki: (I feel bad about disappointing An, but I think I'll pass...)
An: <Oh, and lots of students are wearing funky outfits today. A lot of the second years are in costume for their class shows too. It's really cool!>
An: <Unless you wear something really crazy, it's gonna be hard to stand out in this crowd.>
Mizuki: I see...
Mizuki: (That's considerate of her, telling me in an indirect way that it's safe for me to come.)
Mizuki: (I can't really come up with any excuse not to go now...)
Mizuki: I'll head over then! Can't wait to see all those costumes!
An: <Great! I'm working my stall until noon, so you can find me in our classroom!>
Mizuki: Got it. See you soon, and thanks for the invite.
*Ending Call*
Mizuki: The School Festival, huh...?
Mizuki: I haven't been to one since...
Mizuki: Yikes, I can't be spacing out now or I'll be late. I better get ready to go...!
Kamiyama High School - School Festival Day

Mizuki: Hey, An!
An: There you are, Mizuki!
Mizuki: What are you wearing...? Is that a new T-shirt?
An: Oh, it's our class uniform for the day! We designed it together, so we're all wearing one.
An: There's one for you too. Want me to go get it?
Mizuki: Nah, I'm good...
Mizuki: There are too many people around to find a private place to get changed anyways...
An: Oh, okay... Well, it's your choice!
An: I just finished up so let's check out the festival!
Kamiyama High School - Courtyard

*Crowd Chattering*
Mizuki: Wow, this place is packed! And there are lots of stalls like you said!
An: Yup! Our School Festival attracts a lot of the local residents too, see?
Mizuki: Look, they're selling cotton candy over there. It looks so cute! Let's get some!
An: Okay! Sounds good!
Mizuki: Phew! That was a lot of stalls. I feel like I'm gonna pop.
An: Same here. Wanna go back to the classroom?
Kohane: Hey, An...!
An: Kohane, you made it! You said you weren't sure if you could come, so I'd almost given up hope!
Kohane: Hehe. I didn't know if I'd have time, but I finished up earlier than I thought.
Mizuki: Oh, you must be Azusawa. An's always talking about you.
An: That's right, she's my unbeatable singing partner♪
Kohane: H-Hello there! I'm Kohane Azusawa.
Mizuki: I'm Mizuki Akiyama. It's really nice to meet you, Kohane!
Kohane: Oh, um. Nice to meet you too...!
An: Hey, how about we check stuff out all together?
Kohane: A-All of us...?! Oh... Um...
Mizuki: Oh...
Mizuki: (Is she getting nervous because I'm here?)
Mizuki: (She came all this way on her own, so she probably wants to hang out with An.)
Mizuki: (In that case...)
Mizuki: Oh, drat! The teacher noticed me. Ever since I missed that test, she's been all over me about taking a make-up...!
Mizuki: You two go on ahead. I need to find some place to hide. I'll see you later, An!
*Hurried Footsteps*
An: Wait, what? Mizuki?!
Kohane: Shoot, they're gone...
Mizuki: Looks like they're not following me. I might as well look around on my own then.
Mizuki: (Every class seems to be showcasing something different. There are theater performances, movie-inspired shows... What should I see first?)
Mizuki: (Although...)
Mizuki: (Everyone's wearing their class festival T-shirt. I'm gonna stick out like a sore thumb...)
Mizuki: Not like that's different from any other day...
???: Ha ha ha ha ha!!
Mizuki: What the...?! Was someone laughing?
Mizuki: It sounded like it was coming from the empty classroom upstairs.
Mizuki: I guess I don't have anything better to do. Let's go see what's going on...

Kamiyama High School - Classroom

KAITO: <Tsukasa, shall we rehearse the proposal scene again?>
KAITO: <It's a pivotal point of the play, so we need to get this part just right.>
Tsukasa: You're right! Perfectionism is the mark of a true star after all!
Rui: Okay. I'll be your partner for this scene.
KAITO: <Kneel down while holding the sword in your right hand behind you and your left hand raised imploringly.>
KAITO: <Good, just like that. Now say your lines.>
Tsukasa: O Juliet! Sun of my life! I beg of you, allow me your fair hand in marriage!!
Rui: Romeo... Then refuse thy name and I shall swear my love!
Tsukasa: Sweet Juliet...!
KAITO: <That was great! I think you're ready for the show.>
Tsukasa: Thanks for your help, guys! I'm going to stir up a whirlpool of emotions in the hearts of the students here... No, in the hearts of the whole world!
Nene: I think you're a little out of touch with reality...
Tsukasa: Oh yeah? What makes you say that!
Nene: I gave the script a read thinking a parody of Romeo and Juliet might be fun, but all you've got here is a bunch of fight scenes and weird plot twists.
Nene: How can anyone feel moved by this?
Tsukasa: You just don't get it! Seeing nine Romeos battling it out to the death to prove their love is going to be a gripping spectacle!
Rui: Oh, I love that scene too. Desperate to win the heart of their beloved Juliet, the Romeos mercilessly slaughter each other one after another.
Rui: Blood gushes left and right to the accompaniment of agonized screams. And yet, the audience is unable to contain their laughter.
Rui: I think it's wonderful that you've made a comedy out of this tragic story about a fatal fight for love.
Tsukasa: Huh? But I wrote this as a tragedy, not a comedy...
KAITO: <Hahaha...!>
*School Bell*
Nene: Oh, I didn't realize it was so late... I need to go help out at the class stall.
Nene: Your show starts soon. Shouldn't you get ready? Even if we're not in it, our reputations are on the line as well, so try not to totally mess things up.
Tsukasa: What?! My performances are always top quality!
Rui: Hehe. It's just Nene's way of saying she cares, Tsukasa.
Mizuki: I think this is the classroom where that weird laughter was coming from.
Mizuki: (Oh, wait... Is that Rui?)
Mizuki: (The others must be his classmates. They seem like they're having fun.)
Mizuki: (Rui's expression seems a lot softer than it used to be...)
Mizuki: (Oh, I get it...)
Mizuki: (He's managed to make some good friends.)
Mizuki: Hehe. Maybe I should leave them be...

*Class Chattering*
Mizuki: This class is doing a haunted house! The decorations are really good!
Mizuki: (I bet it would give Ena the creeps. Mafuyu doesn't seem the type to get spooked by this sort of stuff though.)
Mizuki: (As for Kanade, I wonder... I kind of want to see what she's like when something startles her...)
Mizuki: (Wait a minute, why am I thinking about them right now?)
Mizuki: (Maybe deep down, I'm just craving company...)
Mizuki: (It'd be fun to have Ena here... But with her taking night classes and all, I bet she couldn't be bothered...)
Mizuki: (I could call Kanade or Mafuyu, but I can't really picture them being very enthusiastic about it...)
Mizuki: (I wonder what it would be like for all of N25 to go to a School Festival together...)
Student A: Shinonome, don't forget your shift starts at three.
Akito: No worries, I'll be back in time. See you then.
Mizuki: Shinonome...?
Mizuki: It couldn't be...
Akito: Sorry for the wait, Toya.
Toya: It's fine. I just got here too. What's your class's theme? A haunted house?
Akito: Yeah. But I'm just the receptionist. What's your job for today...?
Toya: Selling cotton candy. It's not just regular cotton candy, but really fancy ones. Making them is actually more fun than I expected.
Akito: Oh, right. You sent me a picture earlier. But I still can't imagine you making them.
Toya: By the way, Akito. There's something I wanted to see today. Want to come along?
Akito: Which thing? What is it?
Mizuki: (That guy's name is Akito Shinonome... That has to mean...)
Mizuki: (I may be wrong, but I'm gonna say hello! He gives off the same sort of vibe too so!)
Mizuki: Hey, you there!
Akito: Hm?
Mizuki: Your name is Akito Shinonome, right? Any chance you're Ena's little brother?

Akito: Man, that made my head hurt...
Mizuki: Whew! I'm tired from laughing so much! That play was so crazy, it was surreal!
Mizuki: I got that a bunch of Romeos would battle it out until only one remained, but I didn't expect the last one to go into space and become some cosmic entity.
Mizuki: Toya, you said your friend was the lead? He's definitely got a pretty wild persona...
Toya: It was an exceptionally profound performance...
Mizuki: Huh?
Toya: It may have seemed a farce on the surface, but it was underpinned by philosophical questions. I sense some hidden meaning in the music that played during the final scene as well.
Mizuki: Do you think Toya is under some really powerful hypnosis or something...?
Akito: I see where you're coming from... But I don't think so...
Akito: While we're on this topic, I've got a question. Why do you look up to him so much?
Akito: I remember you saying that you owe him a great deal or something.
Toya: Oh, that's right. I never told you the details, did I?
Toya: You see, I owe him a debt of gratitude.
Mizuki: You do?
Toya: Yes. Our parents knew each other, so Tsukasa and I used to play together when we were little.
Akito: Then you two go way back...
Toya: And as you already know, Akito, my dad was teaching me classical music since I was only a few years old.
Toya: However, he was extremely strict...
Toya: He made me practice before going to school and after coming home until it was time for bed. On weekends, I had to spend the entire day playing the piano and violin.
Toya: By the time I started middle school, I couldn't stand it anymore. I started thinking about finding a way out...
Mizuki: That sounds tough. I can only imagine...
Toya: But I couldn't bring myself to disappoint my dad like that after how much time and effort he'd put into nurturing me.
Toya: That's when Tsukasa said something that changed everything.
Toya: It's your life, so you should live it your way. If you don't like it, then just say so!
Akito: He said that...?
Toya: Those words are what finally helped me make up my mind.
Toya: It's thanks to Tsukasa that I gave up classical music and became friends with Akito.
Toya: If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be who I am today. He changed my life, and that's why I owe him this debt...
Akito: Now I get it...
Akito: I guess that means I should be grateful too.
Mizuki: (He's grateful to the person who helped him change, huh?)
Mizuki: (I owe someone that same debt too then...)
Toya: I should go and let Tsukasa know what I thought about the play.
Mizuki: Should we go back in then? It looks like they're done cleaning up, so you should be able to talk to him.
Toya: Sure, let's go.
Tsukasa: I leave the rest to you! I'm sorry but I must go now!
Tsukasa's Classmate: No problem, Tenma. See you later.
Toya: Oh, Tsukasa...!
Tsukasa: Oh, Toya! Thanks for coming to the show!
Toya: Your play was great. I particularly enjoyed...
Tsukasa: Sorry, but I've gotta run...! We'll talk later, okay? See ya!
*Hurried Footsteps*
Toya: Oh...
Mizuki: Aaand he's gone. Maybe he had to hurry off to another show or something?
Toya: I really wanted to share my feedback with him while it was fresh in my mind.
Toya: Oh, I could try giving him a call...!
Toya: Darn, it went straight to voicemail...
Akito: I'm sure we'll run into him again if we just keep looking around. Considering how loud he is, it'd be hard to miss him.
Toya: You're right. Sorry for dragging you along, Akito.
Toya: But he sure disappeared quick... Where do we even start?
Mizuki: ...
Mizuki: Want me to help out too?
Toya: Really? You don't have to feel obligated to...
Mizuki: Haha, don't worry about it. I want to check out the rest of the festival anyway, so I can kill two birds with one stone.
Mizuki: Besides, I want to do something in return for inviting me along to see that hilarious play.
Toya: In that case, I'll appreciate your help...
Mizuki: Okay, then let's split up. If I find Tsukasa first, I'll tell him to give you a call ASAP!
Mizuki: I'll see you later, guys!
*Hurried Footsteps*
Akito: Hey, hold on! Akiyama! At least give us your number or some...
Akito: Sheesh. Everyone's all over the place today...
Akito: Hey, does the name Akiyama ring a bell to you? Wasn't there some rumor about them going around a while ago?
Toya: Really?
Akito: Well, whatever... Let's start looking for your friend, Toya.

Mizuki: Tsukasaaa!
Mizuki: No luck here either... Hm? What's this?
Gaming Tournament Host: And the winner of the Kamiyama Gaming Tournament is... Nene Kusanagi! Congratulations!
Gaming Tournament Host: Her incredible high score left the contestants in the dust! Could we please have a few words, Ms. Kusanagi?
Nene: I, um... I'm... I'm very happy. Th-Thank you...
Gaming Tournament Host: Your score in the shooting game category deserves a special mention! Could you give us some tips on how to get better at shooters?
Nene: I, um... I just play a lot at home...

Mizuki: Hey, I think I've heard of that shooter. Isn't it supposed to be super hard?
Mizuki: She must be amazing. Maybe I should get that game too...
Mizuki: Wait, I'm already getting distracted! Tsukasa! Where's Tsukasa...?
Mizuki: Ugh, I'm not making any progress. Plenty of people have seen him, but too many witnesses can be as bad as none.
Classmate A: Hm? Hey, look. It's Mizuki!
Classmate B: It's been ages! I didn't think you'd show up!
Mizuki: Oh...
Classmate A: You know, if Mizuki doesn't like people pointing it out, why not just dress normally for school?
Classmate B: I know, right? Of course people are going to say things when you stand out like that.
Classmate A: That's just the way Mizuki is, I guess.
Classmate B: Totally. Some people just don't know how to blend in.
Mizuki: Hey, good to see you again! The festival seemed fun, so I thought I'd check it out♪
Classmate A: But... Why aren't you wearing the class T-shirt?
Mizuki: Well... I was offered one but getting changed seemed like too much of a bother, so I figured I'd pass.
Classmate A: Hm. Yeah, I see your point. I guess wearing the same T-shirt as everyone else in your class is pretty cliche and uncool.
Classmate B: Yeah! It's a class event so I put mine on too, but it makes me kinda cringe.
Mizuki: ...
Classmate A: Hey, do you want to check out the festival with us? It's been so long since we got to chat.
Mizuki: Sorry, but I'm actually looking for someone right now.
Classmate A: Oh, okay. That's too bad.
Mizuki: You guys have fun, though! See ya!
*Footsteps*
Mizuki: ...
*Class Chattering*
Mizuki: Wearing the same outfit is uncool, huh?
Mizuki: You can only say that because you actually fit in.

KAITO: <Wow!>
KAITO: <You were right. You can see the entire festival from up here. Thank you for showing me, Rui.>
Rui: Hehe, it's my pleasure. It's nothing, really.
KAITO: <But are you sure you wouldn't rather be with your classmates than on the rooftop with me?>
Rui: Absolutely. I'm done with all I had to do anyway.
Rui: I love festivals like this, but my classmates always shoot down my ideas because they're too extreme.
Rui: Compatibility is really important when working on a project with other people. Which is sort of why I've always been an outcast.
KAITO: <I see...>
Rui: Hehe, no need to pity me. I finally managed to find some like-minded friends so...
KAITO: <You mean Tsukasa, Nene and Emu?>
Rui: Of course!
KAITO: <I'm happy for you. We all love seeing you smile.>
Rui: Hehe. Thank you, KAITO. But to be honest, I never expected things to get better for me.
Rui: I thought the only way to put on my shows was to do everything on my own.
Rui: I thought it would be enough as long as others were able to enjoy them, even if I had no friends.
Rui: But the shows I really wanted to do couldn't be done with just one person...
*Footsteps*
KAITO: <Hm? It sounds like someone's coming up the stairs...>
Rui: Is that...?
Rui: Oh... Another friend of mine.
KAITO: <A friend?>
Rui: You could say we're kindred spirits.
Rui: Do you mind if I chat with them for a bit...?
KAITO: <Not at all. Take your time. I was thinking of heading back anyway. See you later, Rui.>
Rui: Until our next show, KAITO.
Mizuki: Huh?
Mizuki: Who's there? Rui...?
Rui: Hello, Mizuki. It's been a while since we last met up here.

Mizuki: What are you doing up here, Rui?
Rui: I could ask you the same thing. I'm surprised to see you here too.
Mizuki: You sure do have a habit of avoiding my questions.
Rui: Hehe, I guess so. It's just that I don't have any particular reason for being here.
Rui: I'm just enjoying the scenery.
Rui: I'm just enjoying the scenery.
Mizuki: ...
Rui: What is it? You look a bit confused...
Mizuki: Do I? I just remembered that you said the exact same thing the first time we met.
Rui: Oh, did I?
Mizuki: But you seem a lot different now...
Rui: Hm?
Mizuki: Anyhow, do you know where I can find someone named Tsukasa?
Mizuki: He's your friend, right? I saw you two talking earlier and...
Rui: Tsukasa? Is he a friend of yours too?
Mizuki: Not quite. He's a friend of a friend, I guess. I've been looking everywhere for him.
Rui: I wish I could help, but I have no idea where he went. He's like a storm that blows by and is gone before you know it.
Mizuki: Yeah, he did seem like the type who can't sit still for long.
Mizuki: I saw his play earlier today. The plot, his performance, everything was just crazy! I had no clue what was going on.
Rui: Hehe, that sounds about right. He's like that day in and day out.
Mizuki: You know, Rui...
Mizuki: I saw you rehearsing earlier and you seemed to be having a ton of fun.
Rui: Ah, yes. Tsukasa, Nene and I were going over some lines for the play...
Mizuki: We used to spend a lot of time doing nothing on the rooftop back in middle school...
Mizuki: But I felt some relief when I saw you getting along with people and having fun.
Mizuki: Who's there...?
Rui: Oh, I wasn't expecting an audience in such a remote location.
Mizuki: An audience?
Mizuki: I was here first, you know. You got a problem with that?
Rui: Not at all. I didn't mean to offend.
Rui: Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rui Kamishiro.
Mizuki: Kamishiro, huh? Oh, you're that notorious third year...
Rui: Ah, my fame precedes me. Will you tell me your name?
Mizuki: Nah.
Rui: I see. Well in any case, it would seem fate has brought us together here today. It's nice to meet you, Mizuki Akiyama.
Mizuki: Why'd you ask my name if you already knew it...?
Rui: Because I wanted you to tell me yourself of course.
Mizuki: You're pretty weird...
Rui: Hehe. Yes, I get that often.
Mizuki: Anyway, what did you come up here for?
Rui: I'm just enjoying the scenery.
Mizuki: During the School Festival? Don't have anything better to do?
Mizuki: All you can see from up here is people milling around like ants down below.
Rui: You're right. But I like the view. You can see just how lively everything is.
Rui: Everyone's enjoying one show or another.
Mizuki: If you like that sort of thing, why aren't you down there with them?
Rui: I wish I could. I would if I actually could...

Mizuki: Oh, you're here.
Rui: Oh, Mizuki. You're late today. Third period's already started, you know.
Mizuki: Why are you even waiting for me anyway? It's not like I promised to meet you.
Rui: I know. I've been reading this drama play, you see.
Mizuki: Avoiding my questions again, huh?
Rui: Oh, but I was just getting to my answer. This play is about a hero that patiently waits for someone.
Rui: I thought by waiting for you, I might be able to understand the mentality of this character a little better.
Mizuki: Hmm? Is this play any good?
Rui: Well, it depends on who you ask...
Mizuki: Isn't that true about everything?
Rui: In the case of this play, there's no definite conclusion, so the answer is up to the audience's interpretation.
Mizuki: I see. Not like I have anything against stories like that, but why are you reading that sort of stuff? I thought you wanted to do fun shows.
Rui: I do. But in order to do that, I first need to expand my horizons.
Mizuki: Expand your horizons, huh?
Mizuki: Is that the real reason you're always up here?
Rui: Huh?
Mizuki: I figured you talked to people like me because you were looking for inspiration or something you could use in your shows?
Rui: Well, you're correct in a sense. I always find our conversations inspirational.
Mizuki: ...
Rui: But to be clear, I draw inspiration from everyone around me, not just you.
Mizuki: Well... If you say so...
Rui: Hehe. To be fair, it's probably not a good thing that my thoughts always revolve around how something can be used in a show.
Mizuki: You say that, but it's not like you intend to change anytime soon, right?
Rui: Of course not.
Mizuki: Even if that's the reason you're all alone?
Rui: All alone... Well...
Rui: Solitude isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Mizuki: Huh?
Rui: In fact, it has had certain benefits for me. It's given me plenty of time to see plays and to think over ideas for shows, for example.
Rui: It even gave me another lonesome friend on the school rooftop.
Mizuki: Solitude has given you a friend? Isn't that contradictory?
Rui: Hehe, I suppose you're right.
Mizuki: A friend in solitude...
Mizuki: Maybe one day you'll find friends who have more in common with you than just being lonely...
Rui: Maybe. God only knows...
Mizuki: God, huh? Where's God when you need them?
Rui: Where indeed... Well, while we're on the subject...
Rui: How would you like to wait until the end of fourth period with me?
Mizuki: Haha. Why not...? Not like I have anything else to do...
Mizuki: It's really great that you've made new friends. Tsukasa and that girl who was there with you...
Mizuki: Ugh, to think I'd lose to you like this... I'm definitely the one with better communication skills too...!
Rui: That's not true... You've made some new friends too, no?
Mizuki: Huh?
Mizuki: What makes you say that...?
Rui: Call it a director's intuition, I guess?
Mizuki: Haha. Is that really a thing? Anyway, it's not like I...
Mizuki: Well, maybe you're right. I'm just not sure you could call us friends yet...
Mizuki: But yeah, I have met some people...
Rui: Hehe. I knew it.
Mizuki: That could be why I can enjoy this view without feeling jealous even though there's still a lot in my life that still isn't great.
Rui: It seems like we both met some good people.
Mizuki: And yet we're killing time up here instead of enjoying the festival, just like we used to...
Mizuki: Hey, look. There's a crowd gathering in the courtyard...
Rui: The night festival will be starting soon. I heard there will be dancing and live music.
Mizuki: Huh. I guess School Festivals in high school can have those.
Rui: Hm? Sounds like we have company.
Mizuki: Oh? Who could it be?

Kamiyama High School - Rooftop

*Door Opening*
An: Mizuki, there you are! I tried calling, but you didn't pick up.
Mizuki: An?
Tsukasa: And there's Rui! I finally found you!
Nene: Sigh... It was so embarrassing searching the entire school with this guy...
Rui: Oh, my apologies. I wasn't aware you were looking for me.
Mizuki: What's going on...?
Toya: I'm glad we finally found you too, Akiyama.
Mizuki: Oh! Toya!
Toya: Thank you for earlier. I actually found Tsukasa right after you left.
Mizuki: So you got to tell him your thoughts about the play? That's great!
Akito: Yeah. We didn't want you to keep wasting your time looking, but you didn't tell us how we could contact you.
Mizuki: Oh, right... I should've thought about that.
An: And I just happened to run into them, so we teamed up to look for you.
An: But I had no idea you knew each other!
Akito: We all just met today...
Mizuki: To be fair, I didn't know you knew them either!
Mizuki: Well, anyway... Sorry for all the trouble.
An: Oh, Mizuki!
An: Would you like to come with us to the night festival?
Mizuki: The night festival? I thought you wanted to go with Kohane...
An: No, this is for Kamiyama students only. She went home a while ago.
An: Besides, didn't you leave because you were worried about being a third wheel?
Mizuki: What, me? No, you have the wrong idea...!
An: I invited you here, but you ended up all on your own. Let's at least have some fun at the night festival together. What do you say?
Mizuki: An...
Mizuki: I'd love to! Let's go!
Tsukasa: Rui, you're coming too! I want the biggest audience I can get!
Rui: Audience?
Tsukasa: Hehe. It turns out anyone who wants to take the stage is welcome to, and that's what I intend to do!
Mizuki: Is that why you had to leave in such a hurry after the play?
Tsukasa: Yes! I had to make the necessary preparations for an impromptu show!
Tsukasa: Hehehe. My exquisite voice will soon resonate throughout the entire school!
Tsukasa: I also heard that you, Toya and Akito, are decent at singing as well, so I've enlisted them as my backup singers!
Akito: Decent...? Gee, thanks.
Toya: I'd be more than happy to sing with you, Tsukasa.
Rui: This night festival is the perfect opportunity for me to unveil my newest invention too.
Nene: It's another pointless gadget, right...?
An: Oh, and one more thing!
An: I brought your class T-shirt too, Mizuki! Here! I'm sure you can find somewhere to get changed now that downstairs isn't as crowded.
Mizuki: Oh...
Akito: But come to think of it... Your class's T-shirt design kinda sucks.
An: What, Akito?! How can you say that?!
Mizuki: Um, well... It's not really something I'd wear so...
An: Not you too, Mizuki!
Mizuki: Hehe. We could layer it with something. I mean, we should at least make it look cute if you're gonna wear it♪
An: Okay. Get changed and let's go to the night festival!
Mizuki: (What a strange feeling.)
Mizuki: (I used to just observe people from the rooftop, but now I have friends of my own to hang out with...)
Tsukasa: Alright, folks! Let's all go together! Night festival, here we come!
Tsukasa: Follow my lead!!
Nene: Will you keep it down...
Rui: Hehe. I hope I have enough time to get my new gadget ready before the performance.
Toya: I can't believe I get to be a backup singer for Tsukasa...
Akito: Sigh... What a pain...
Mizuki: (Who'd have thought the day would come when I'd be part of a lively group like this.)
Mizuki: Hehe...
An: Come on, Mizuki! Let's go!
Mizuki: Coming!
