Emu: Okay!!
Saki: A presentation, huh? I'm not sure if I'm getting nervous or excited. What do you think everyone else is gonna do?
Kohane: There's no set theme that we have to stick to, but it sounded like most groups usually just go with something beach or ocean-themed...
Honami: We also have seven minutes to work with. We won't be able to do anything too extravagant, but anything goes as long as we're all in it.
Saki: Since we all have to be in it, shouldn't we do something that we're all sort of good at?
Emu: Something we're all good at...? Oh, I know!
Emu: Why don't we put on a musical? You're really good at singing, right, Kohane?
Kohane: Yes, I can sing, but I've never done any acting before...

Saki: Hona and I can be on instrument duty. Emu and Kohane, you two can be our singers.
Emu: Yeah, that sounds like fun!! What do you think, Kohane?
Kohane: Okay, as long as I'm just singing, I should be fine...!
Honami: I'd like to give it a try as well. Oh, but are there any instruments that we can use here...?
Kohane: We should ask the teachers just to check, but I'm pretty certain that there are. I just passed by a music room on my way over here.
Honami: Oh, okay. Even without a drum kit, we should be able to figure something out.
Emu: Then let's go with that!
Saki: But we should probably pick something that we all know.
Honami: Right. We won't have much time to practice, so something we already know would move everything along much quicker...
Emu: Oh, how about this one! Hum-humm♪
Kohane: Hmm... I want to say that I've heard it before...
Saki: Wait, I know that song! It's from that musical, right?! Happy Lucky Summer!
Saki: It's from the part when the female leads all make up in the end!
Emu: Yes! That's it, Saki!
Kohane: Oh, I think I've seen it before.
Kohane: It's about this really headstrong girl, Dorothy, who lives in this port city, and this other girl, Amy, who just moved into town, right?
Saki: Yup! My brother loves that one and I even got to see it with him♪
Saki: Dorothy becomes friends with Amy, but they end up getting into a fight...

Honami: Oh, isn't it called BEST SUMMER...?
Honami: I've never seen this musical, but I think I heard that song in a commercial once on TV.
Emu: W-W-W-W-Wonderhoy! Let's pick this song then☆
Saki: Yeah! Especially since we already seem to know it!
Honami: That reminds me... What everybody presents will also be voted on by the teachers and students on the planning committee. It'd be nice to do well if we're going to be competing.
Kohane: Yeah, I forgot about that. The top three get some kind of prize, right?
Emu: A prize?! Really?! What can we get?!
Honami: An invitation to a cafe. I think they said, Le Lion.
Saki: What?! We get to go to Le Lion if we do well?!
Kohane: Is it famous, Saki?
Saki: Yeah. It's one of those cafes where it's impossible to get a reservation. I saw it in a magazine once and have been dying to go ever since.
Saki: It's apparently gorgeous and really classy on the inside, but they also have parfaits, tarts and other desserts that are topped with a mountain of fruits...!
Emu: Then let's win it all and check out this cafe together♪
Kohane: Do you really think we can win...?
Saki: Sure we can. We should as long as we give it everything we have, right?
Emu: Yup! Even if we don't win, there's still silver and bronze.
Kohane: Hehe. Maybe we can if you and Emu say so, Saki.
Honami: Then let's do everything we can and go for the gold!

Emu: Well, I'm hoping to find a really big seashell and give it to everyone at the Wonder Stage as a gift.

Kohane: Yes, I can sing, but I've never done any acting before...

Saki: Yup! My brother loves that one and I even got to see it with him♪
Saki: Dorothy becomes friends with Amy, but they end up getting into a fight...

Honami: But you said that your group is doing a skit in English. I can't wait to see it!
Shiho: I'd be more than happy to wait. But since Kiritani and Minori are in my group and working so hard, I'm in no position to slack off...
Shiho: You're doing some kind of musical, right? Kohane's a part of a singing unit and Otori does shows all the time, so this should be easy for you guys.
Honami: Y-Yes... I wish I could say the same...
Shiho: Is something wrong, Honami? You seem a little down.
Honami: Um... We've actually been having a little trouble practicing our piece.

Shiho: It didn't sound like a musical, huh?
Honami: Yes... We're all experienced singers and musicians, but something didn't feel quite right when we played together...
Honami: Emu's the only one who's ever performed in a musical before, so our song and music seemed a little all over the place.
Honami: Emu mentioned how we need to understand how our characters felt more and play more freely, but it seems so hard when we actually try to do that...
Shiho: Play more freely, huh...? I don't think that's something anyone can do just by asking them to.
Honami: I know... But we decided to do a musical and it's an opportunity to work with people outside of our usual circles, so we all want to do the best we can.
Honami: Still, it is true that you can't just play more freely just by being asked to...
Shiho: Let me ask you this, Honami. Do you know why you aren't able to do that yourself?
Honami: Um... It may be because I focus so much on maintaining a good rhythm. As a result, I'm not able to do something else in parallel...
Honami: Whenever we practice, Shiho, you're always telling me without fail to do just that. It seems like that will always take priority even if someone does tell me to try something different...
Shiho: I see... So me being so strict may be causing this.
Shiho: It could also be that your mind has decided what drumming is supposed to sound like, you know?
Honami: Huh? But I tried playing more freely like Emu said...
Shiho: Yet you still maintain that a good rhythm is more important, no? That really might only apply to when we're playing as Leo/need.
Honami: Oh, I think I understand...
Shiho: See?
Shiho: For example, Leo/need and STANDOUT are similar types of bands, but don't sound the same at all...
Honami: R-Right...

Shiho: No one plays the guitar or keyboard or drums the same as someone else. Minor discrepancies add up into major differences.
Honami: So that means if the number of people in a band change, their sound will as well?
Shiho: Exactly. I am always on you about maintaining a good rhythm but you're not playing with Leo/need right now, so I feel like you should distance yourself from what I've been saying in this case.
Honami: I see. My mind was so focused on playing the way I do whenever we practice, as Leo/need...
Shiho: I think that's your answer. Why don't you try focusing more on playing more freely like Otori said for your musical?
Honami: Right...
Honami: I guess I was overlooking something incredibly important until now.
Shiho: But I also think that you should play the way you like, Honami...
Shiho: I'm sure you'll find a way to make everything work.

Kohane: Huh...?! Emu, are you okay?
Emu: There's something I wanted to ask you about singing practice...
Emu: Wanna try coming up with how Amy and Dorothy feel during this scene?
Kohane: Oh, you mentioned that yesterday. Is this about singing in character?
Emu: Yup! I thought that knowing how Amy and Dorothy felt during this song would make our BEST SUMMER sound even better!

Emu: Let's begin our brainstorming session on how Amy and Dorothy feel during this scene!!
Kohane: Let's do this!
Kohane: Should we start with how they both feel right as BEST SUMMER begins?
Emu: Yup! BEST SUMMER is about how Amy and Dorothy want to make up and be friends again, right?
Kohane: Right. But just before this song starts, Dorothy thinks that Amy doesn't want to be friends with her anymore.
Emu: Yeah! That's why it might be good for us to sing like there's a big emotional gap between us, like Dorothy and Amy!
Kohane: A big emotional gap...
Emu: Like how... Kohane, have you ever gotten into an argument with a friend before?
Kohane: An argument with a friend...? When I was little, I got into a fight with a neighbor over the toys we were borrowing from each other.
Kohane: And for the longest time, I couldn't find the courage to apologize to them...
Emu: Oh, you can try singing while thinking about how you felt back then! That might be perfect for understanding how Amy feels!
Kohane: How I felt back then...? Okay, I'll give it a try.

Honami: Yes, of course. Here, I'll move my drums to give you some space.
Emu: I'll help you, Honami!
Honami: Thank you, Emu.
Student A: Thank you so much. We'll try to stack them so they don't take up too much space.
Student A: And... Up you go... Let's see... One, two three, four... Okay, why don't we throw this last one up there too?
*Thump*
Student B: Are you sure? It might fall over...
Student A: It's a common practice area, so we don't have much of a choice. We can't hog this space, so... Up you... Oh no!
Saki: Hona! Emu! Watch out!
Honami: Huh...?!
*Crash*
Kohane: Honami! Emu! Are you okay?!
Honami: I... I think so...
Student A: Mochizuki, I'm so sorry! Are you sure you're okay?!
Honami: I got out of the way just in time. Luckily, Saki was there to warn us.
Honami: More importantly, the drums...
*Rustle*
Honami: Oh no... The head got torn...
Saki: What?! No! Does that mean we can't use it now...?!
Student A: I... I'm so sorry...! I didn't mean to...
Honami: No, really, it's okay! We'll figure something out. You two should go back to getting ready for your own presentation.
Student A: Mochizuki...

Saki: What do we do...?
Kohane: There's only one set in the whole lodge, right...?
Emu: No... Isn't there anything we can do? We won't be able to perform without that!
Honami: I...
Honami: (We'd finally figured out what to do and practiced so much to get it just right...)
Honami: (Wait, I know...)
Honami: I'll go ask the teachers to see if we can borrow another drum kit. Please wait here in the meantime...!
*Door Sliding*
Saki: H-Hona?!

*Door Creaking*
Honami: Oh, excuse me...!
Teacher: Ah, Mochizuki. You seem like you're in a big hurry. Is everything alright?
Honami: Well, no, the drum kit we were going to use for our performance accidentally broke...
Teacher: It did? I hope no one got hurt...
Honami: Luckily, nobody did. However, we heard that there was only one drum kit available here, and were wondering if we could borrow another one from somewhere else...
Honami: Would that be possible?
Teacher: Understood... I'll try talking to someone I know at one of the schools nearby. Would you mind waiting while I call them?
Honami: Yes, of course. Thank you very much...!

Honami: They said we could borrow another drum kit!
Emu: Really?!
Honami: Yes, a teacher managed to get a hold of an acquaintance from a nearby school and asked them if we could.
Saki: Thank goodness!
Honami: But they also said that it would take about 40 minutes to go there, get it and come back...
Emu: Wh-What do we do...?!
*Door Sliding*
Shiho: Hey, what are you all doing here? It's about to start, you know...?
Saki: Oh, Shiho!
Honami: We have a slight emergency on our hands...

Shiho: And now you have no drums... But doesn't your group go last?
Honami: Y-Yes...
Saki: But we wouldn't make it back in time even if we went out and get it right now...
Shiho: You can't perform without it, right? I say go and get it.
Shiho: Because you're going last, we might be able to get the teachers to add a quick intermission to buy you some time.
Honami: Oh, that might be the answer...
Shiho: But we'll have to ask each teacher and group since it's probably going to affect the rest of today's schedule.
Kohane: Right... But I'm for your idea, Shiho.
Emu: Okay, I'll stay here and do everything I can to buy us as much time as possible!
Saki: Me too! We can work together, Emu!
Emu: Yup!
Kohane: Okay, I'll help Honami find a way to get that drum kit over here. I'm sure you'll need an extra set of hands.
Honami: Thank you all so much...! Then we should get going, Kohane!
Kohane: Right!
*Footsteps*
Saki: Come back safe, okay?
Shiho: I'll do what I can to help too, since my group isn't on until later.
Saki: Thank you so much, Shiho!
Emu: Okay, it's brainstorming time! Let's buy Honami and Kohane as much time as we can!
Saki: Hmm... I'm starting to think that an intermission won't give us enough time. What do you think?
Shiho: You might be right. I'm guessing they're going to need around 15 minutes to carry something like that back...
Saki: Yeah, it wouldn't really be a quick intermission then, would it...?
Saki: I have a feeling that everyone would be okay with it, but I'd feel so bad about making them wait for that long.
Saki: Unless, we can come up with something to do during that time...
Miku: <Emu! Emu! Can I ask you something really quick?>
Emu: M-Miku...?!
Saki: Hm? Is something wrong, Emu?
Emu: Oh, uh... I think someone's calling me...! Sorry, I'll be right back...!
*Hurried Footsteps*

Emu: Okay, we should be fine here. You want to ask me something, Miku...?
*Hologram Appearing*
Miku: <About that. *Whisper*>
Emu: Oh, okay... Yeah, that sounds super fun! I might actually be able to if you're there to help me, Miku...!
Emu: I'll go tell Saki right now!

Emu: Saki! Shiho! I got an amazing idea!
Saki: You do?
Emu: We just need to come up with a second performance!
Saki & Shiho: Huh...?

Saki: Emu, they gave us the green light!
Saki: After I explained our situation to them, they said we could have a 10-minute break and a 5-minute slot for our second performance.
Shiho: Also, here. That other group said that you could borrow their props, Otori.
Emu: Wow, thanks! I'll make sure to thank them after we're done!
Saki: It's going to be my first time, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it right... But I'll try my best!
Emu: Yeah, let's make it a big success!
Shiho: Oh, you're almost up...
Saki: Okay, wish us luck!
Emu: Thank you so much, Shiho! Here we go!
Shiho: Break a leg, you two...

Emu: No, it wasn't me. It was...
Honami: It was...?
Emu: Uh, no...! Nevermind...! I'm just glad that everyone liked it!
Ichika: Aha, there you all are. The barbecue's about to start.
Minori: Oh, you're right! That table's covered with all sorts of fish and vegetables! Let's go take a look, Kohane!
Kohane: Okay! Which should we start with?
Emu: Oh, I wanna go too! I wonder if they have steak...
Honami: I'll get some plates ready for us.
Haruka: I'll help, Mochizuki.
Saki: Alright, I'll go get us some more juice!
Shiho: Saki, I'll come with you.
Honami: Thank you, everyone. See you again in a bit.

Honami: Okay, are we all ready?
Saki: Yup! Let's dig in!
Kohane & Emu: Yeah!
*Sizzling*
Honami: Shiho, these meats are just about done. Oh, the carrots and bell peppers too.
Shiho: Thanks... Hold on... Don't you think this is plenty?
Honami: Is it? Everything looks delicious, so I was making sure you had enough to eat.
Shiho: There's no way I can eat all of this in one sitting.
Shiho: But if I somehow manage to, I'll be back...
Minori: Kohane, look! This scallop's so big!
Kohane: It is...! But won't it take a while to cook all the way through?
Minori: I don't know, but here it goes!
*Sizzling*
Kohane: Hehe. Let's split it once it's done.
Emu: Haruka, the prawns are done! Order up!!
Haruka: Thanks.
Haruka: You've been on the grill for a while, Otori. Have you had enough to eat?
Emu: All good☆ Some girls from another group even gave me some rice balls! Should I throw them on here?!
Haruka: Oh, that does sound good. A light brushing of soy sauce should do the trick.
*Sizzling*
Ichika: Kiritani, Otori, a couple orders of meat just came in. I'll leave them here, okay?
Haruka: Thanks, Hoshino.
Haruka: Oh, it's already getting dark too...
Ichika: It was still bright out just a minute ago. Looks like the sun's just about ready to set.
*Sizzling*
Emu: Oh...
Haruka: Is something wrong, Otori?
Emu: There's something I need to do. I'll be right back!
Emu: I promise...!
*Hurried Footsteps*
Haruka: O-Otori...?
Ichika: There she goes...
Honami: Um... Have you seen Emu anywhere?
Ichika: She ran off in that direction just a second ago. She said she'd be right back.
Honami: Okay. I'll wait for her here then.

Miku: <Emu, look! The sea's turned orange! It's so pretty!>
Emu: Yeah, it is! It's so beautiful, but kinda sad too...
Miku: <Oh, sorry... I forgot that you don't like sunsets...>
Emu: No, I'm over that now! They used to make me sad, but not anymore!
Emu: It's like you said, Miku. It might be sad now, but we can have fun the next day.
Miku: <Hehe. I'm glad I could cheer you up like that. I'll make sure to bring back lots and lots of gifts for everyone too!>
Emu: Yeah, I really hope they like it!
Honami's Voice: Emuuu!
Kohane's Voice: There you are!
Saki's Voice: What are you doing way over there?
Emu: Oh, hey!
Miku: <I'll see you later, Emu.>
Emu: Okay, we can talk more later.
*Sand Crunching*
Honami: We were just about to bake some marshmallows, Emu.
Emu: Oh, that sounds fun!! I wanna have some!!
Honami: I was about to talk to you at the grill, but you really startled me by running off.
Emu: Sorry. I wanted to see the ocean one last time.
Emu: Look, it's all orange now. Isn't it pretty?
*Crashing Waves*
Honami: Oh wow...! It's so romantic. It didn't look like this at all during the day...
Saki: Yeah, this is amazing! I wish it would just stay like this forever...
Kohane: I know what you mean. Seeing a seascape like this makes you want to stay just a little longer.
Emu: But we all have to go home at some point...! Still, we can all think about coming back here someday♪
Saki: Yeah! Hona and I have to get back to band practice!
Honami: Hehe. Back to pursuing our dream.
Emu: I'll be putting on more shows, and I'm gonna give everyone extra-big smiles!
Kohane: I'll be performing at events too...! I need to get back to singing practice.
Shiho: Hey, Team Silver, ready to bake some marshmallows?
Minori: Yeah, come back!
Saki: Oh, sorry!
Kohane: Shall we...?
Honami & Emu: Yeah!
Honami: ...
Honami: (We all have somewhere to be, but I'm so glad that we were able to do our performance in the end. It was so much fun...)
Honami: (I hope the four of us get a chance to do this again, someday...)

Honami: A job well done today, everyone! Do we all have a drink ready?
Emu: Yup!
Honami: Then here's to winning the silver... Cheers!
Kohane & Emu: Cheers!
Saki: Hehe. It got a little crazy there in the end, but I had so much fun♪
Kohane: And we finished in the top 3...? We couldn't ask for more...
Saki: Yeah! Well, I'm a little bummed that we didn't win a trip to that cafe, but cafeteria vouchers are a close second! We should go together sometime!
Kohane: We can exchange it for any one menu item, right? I wonder what I should get...
Emu: Oh, I'm getting a taiyaki☆
Kohane: Do they have those at the cafeteria...?
Shiho: Hey, nice work back there. It was really good.
Haruka: It really was. I'm glad your hard work paid off.
Minori: I really liked BEST SUMMER too! I think I cried a little when Amy and Dorothy made up!
Honami: Thank you so much... All of you... We couldn't be happier with how it went.
Kohane: Yeah...! I'm glad we practiced so much.
Haruka: The magic show was a nice surprise too. I think we all had some fun there.
Emu: Yay! Thanks☆
Saki: Haruka, what did you think of me being Emu's assistant?
Haruka: You did really well. The look on your face after each trick was priceless.
Shiho: Doesn't that mean she was just an extension of the audience instead of a show assistant?
Saki: You're so mean, Shiho! I had an important role to play!!
Haruka: Still, Otori, I was amazed to learn that you can perform magic tricks.
