Akina (秋奈) is a voice actress from Sendai, Miyagi, Japan. She is Azusawa Kohane's voice actress. She is currently a freelancer.
Background[]
Akina became interested in anime at the age of 9 after watching Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and she also liked imitating Pretty Cure and Doraemon. She decided to become a voice actress after her older brother, who is four years older, suggested and encouraged her to pursue the career.[1]
When she was 14, she entered the 4th Anisong Grand Prix under the name Chuna Cho (趙 秋奈) and became a finalist after winning the Sendai qualification tournament. However, she was eliminated in the first round of the Tokyo finals. When she was 15, she decided to attend the voice actor/broadcasting major course at Clark Memorial International High School, through where she participated in a seiyuu audition.
In 2011, she was casted as the voice actor of Nanase Hikaru in the 3D dungeon RPG Meikyuu Cross Blood Reloaded. At the same time she joined Sun Music Production under the name Chuna. She initially thought she wouldn't make it as a seiyuu, but decided to continue after being casted as Saegusa Kii in Aikatsu! and interacting with her coworkers.
In June 2013, Chuna formed the vocal unit Princess Kettsu with fellow seiyuu Nakatsu Mariko and Morino Mako. The group disbanded in July 2014. Chuna left Sun Music Production to become a freelancer on March 31, 2015.
In January 2016, she joined Stardust Promotion and changed her stage name from Chuna to Akina, her real name. She later left Stardust Promotion.

Trivia[]
- Akina also voices the Bunny Plushie that appears in the Wonderland SEKAI.
- Her hobbies are photography, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, writing lyrics and singing. She is self-taught when it comes to singing and has mentioned her father's singing (who aimed to become a professional singer in the past) inspired her.
- When it comes to movies, she particularly loves the Star Wars movies and is also a fan of Spider-Man.
- She enjoys listening to the artists One Direction, Justin Bieber and Austin Mahone.[2]
- Similarly to Kohane, Akina loves visiting theme parks (in her case, Disneyland) and tends to take lots of pictures at the same time.
- She has admitted to having no sense of direction.
- She has her own YouTube channel, where she posts her covers and has also uploaded covers of some songs that are featured in Project SEKAI, such as Kyu-Kurarin, Odo, p.h. and Villain.[3][4][5][6]
