Len: Hey, it's Akito and Toya! Welcome!
Len: Huh...? Kohane and An aren't with you?
Akito: Nah. We're just here to catch a break before practice starts.
Toya: Are you helping MEIKO out today, Len?
Len: I sure am! What'll it be, guys?
Toya: I'll have my usual.
Akito: Me too.
Len: Okay, just give me one moment!
Len: MEIKO! Akito and Toya are heeere!

Len: Thanks for waiting! I've got the coffees you ordered.
Len: This one's for you, Toya! Here's yours, Akito, and feel free to use this milk and sugar!
Akito: Great, thanks... Huh? What's with the orange juice...?
Len: That's mine. MEIKO said I can take a break until our next customer comes in!
Len: Hey, is it cool if I join you?
Toya: Of course.
Len: Woohoo! Then I'll take this seat.
Len: Hehe. There's something I've been wanting to ask you guys!
Akito: Ask us?
Len: Yeah. So, you're supposed to be moving up a year soon, right? I heard a bunch of stuff is supposed to change, but what's actually gonna happen?
Akito: What's gonna happen...? We're gonna be second-years, and our classes will be different too.
Len: I mean, I know that much...
Len: I'm not talking about that! I wanna hear something like... Something you don't think I'd know!
Akito: Even then, I don't really know what else to tell you...
Toya: As far as things that will change in the new school year, I suppose it would be getting new textbooks and having juniors at school.
Len: Oh, the part about getting juniors sounds interesting!
Len: Hey, so how do you feel about getting juniors?
Toya: How do I feel...?
Toya: I don't know, to be honest. In junior high, I couldn't even interact with people in my own year much...
Toya: But now I'm a bit excited. I think I'll finally get to feel like I have juniors.
Len: Ooh, nice!
Len: You're nice and really smart, Toya, so I bet your juniors will rely on you a whole lot!
Toya: I would be happy to be that reliable senior.
Len: How about you, Akito? How do you feel about getting juniors?
Akito: Well... I think for me, it kinda feels like I'm getting more friends.
Len: Friends? Not like, lackeys who'll do whatever you say or something?
Akito: Look, here, you...
Len: Hahaha, c'mon, I'm kidding! So, what else?
Akito: Geez...
Akito: I feel like the juniors I've interacted with the most were the ones on my soccer team...
Akito: But we had our coach, so I wasn't doing stuff like teaching them or looking after them.
Toya: So that's what you meant by feeling like they're friends instead of juniors...
Len: But aren't the juniors the ones who put away all the equipment and clean up the field and all that?
Akito: Well, I guess it works that way in a lot of places.
Akito: I usually helped them. Cleanup finished faster that way, and they'd stay back to do extra practice with me, so.
Len: Wow...! Huh, you were actually a good senior, Akito.
Akito: That's nothing to call me a good senior over.
Len: You think so? I figure you're a good senior just for not acting all high and mighty!
Len: Hmm, I'd like to be the junior to a senior like you guys!
Toya: I'm happy to hear you say so.
Akito: But are you okay with that? You won't be able to bite back at us if you're our junior.
Len: Yeah, that's totally fine! I mean, I bet you'd treat me nicer as your junior, and help me out with anything I ask!
Toya: He's got you there, Akito.
Akito: *Sigh* He's real sly when it comes to this kinda thing.
Len: Hehe!

Len: ♪———— ♪————!!!
Len: (Alright! I did well on that part that was giving me trouble yesterday!)
Rin: ♪——~~ ♪————~~!
Len: (Oh, and Rin's doing better on the part she was struggling with too! In fact, she put a nice little spin on it!)
Len: (Alright, here I go!)
Len: ♪——~~ ♪————~~!

Len: Phew...! We had another great practice today! That spin you threw in was nice too!
Rin: Right?!
Rin: But you were awesome too, Len! You matched me right away.
Len: That's 'cause I'm your partner!
Len & Rin: Yeah!
Len: I wonder if Kohane and the others are practicing in their world right about now.
Rin: They probably are, don't you think? They've got practice with An's dad and all that.
Len: Yeah, you're right...
Rin: Len...? Is something wrong?
Len: Our practice went really great just now, but... I was just thinking about whether this is enough...
Rin: Huh?
Len: I mean, Kohane and the others have An's dad, one of the people behind that legendary night, helping with their practices.
Len: It sounded intense just from what we heard the other day! I bet they've got an incredible practice going on right now!
Rin: A-An incredible practice?!
Len: So! Don't you think we'll get left behind if we don't do something incredible too?!
Rin: Y-You might be right!
Rin: What do we do?! I can't think of any way to have an incredible practice!
Len: Me neither...
Len: Okay! These are the times when we just need to go and ask!

KAITO: Um, an incredible practice...?
Len: Yeah!
Len: We don't wanna get left behind Kohane and the others! So tell us some incredible practice we can do!
KAITO: Hm... Incredible practice, eh...?
KAITO: ...
KAITO: Shouldn't it be fine? I don't think you need to do anything like that.
Len: Huh?
Rin: Hey, KAITO! Don't joke around! We're serious about this!
Len: Yeah, what she said!
KAITO: Owww! W-Wait...! Hear me out too, guys.
KAITO: Sorry, my bad. I shouldn't have started with the conclusion like that.
KAITO: First off, what was it that made you want to do some incredible practice?
Len: Like we already said, we figure Kohane and the others must be doing that sort of practice with An's dad.
KAITO: Uh-huh. And so, you felt that you didn't want to get left behind, right?
Rin: Yeah, exactly!
KAITO: Hmmm, so that's the part I don't really get...
KAITO: What makes you think you're going to get left behind if you don't do some incredible practice?
Len & Rin: Huh?
Len: I-I mean... Since Kohane and the others are doing some incredible stuff, I figured...
KAITO: Practice is supposed to be for learning to do things you can't do, and improving at the things you can, right?
KAITO: Kohane and the others have things they should be learning and improving on...
KAITO: And so do the two of you.
KAITO: But if you don't know what those things are yourselves, don't you think whatever practice you end up doing will be useless?
Len: Oh...
Len: Right... I kinda thought doing some crazy practice would make us improve, but that's the wrong way to look at it.
KAITO: What is it that you can do, and what is it that you're lacking... It'll be better if you can focus on thinking about those things first.
KAITO: If you feel like it'll be tough to think that through on your own, I'll help you.
Len: You will?!
Rin: Thanks, KAITO!
Len: Y'know, KAITO...
KAITO: Hm?
Len: Sometimes you feel like a real teacher!
KAITO: Well, that's 'cause I am your teacher!
