Fujita Sakiko (藤田 咲子), better known by her stage name Fujita Saki (藤田 咲), is a voice actress and singer from Tokyo, Japan. She provided the samples for Hatsune Miku's voicebank. She is affiliated with Arts Vision.
Background[]
Saki has loved manga and anime ever since she was young, however she initially thought of working at either a flower shop or an ice cream shop. When she was in 9th grade, Saki ended up seeing Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! with her friend, after which she watched the whole series and became addicted to the Digimon game on the WonderSwan console. This led to her dreaming of "going to the Digital World," and which also served as the catalyst for her wanting to become a seiyuu.[1]
In April 2003, she entered the Japan Narration Acting Institute (NichiNare). In October 2003, she participated in a voice actress audition hosted by Pony Canyon titled "VOICE ARTIST&SINGER AUDITION VS Audition", where she won the Special Jury Prize at the finals. As a result she ended up becoming one of the hosts on "Anime TV".
Saki debuted as a voice actress in 2005 by voicing a minor character in Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge!, and then landed her first main role as Kanisawa Kinu in the anime adaptation of Tsuyokiss.
In September 2005, she changed her artist name from Fujita Sakiko to Fujita Saki.
She graduated from university in March 2007. A month later in August, she sampled her voice for Hatsune Miku, a VOCALOID2 voicebank by Crypton Future Media.
She debuted as a singer on September 24, 2008 with the single "Crystal Quartz". After her singer debut, she graduated from NichiNare and became affiliated with her agency.
