Furihata Ai (降幡 愛) is a voice actress and singer from Nagano Prefecture, Japan. She is Momoi Airi's voice actress. She is currently affiliated with Across Entertainment, while her singing activities are signed under the Purple One Star label.
Background[]
Ai said that she was a shy child, but she loved drawing and animation. During her childhood, she had a friend who wanted to become a voice actor. When she graduated from middle school, she decided she wanted to become a voice actress as well.
After graduating from high school, Ai moved into Tokyo and enrolled at a vocational school.[1]
In 2014, she graduated from Amusement Media Academy. She made her voice acting debut in the same year.
In 2015, she was cast as Kurosawa Ruby in Love Live! Sunshine!!, and she also joined Aqours at the same time.
On September 23, 2020, she debuted as a solo singer with the mini-album "Moonrise". She also wrote the lyrics for all of the songs in the album.

Personality & Hobbies[]
Ai's hobbies include photography, drawing, listening to music (especially 80s city pop), collecting T-shirts and watching TV. She is skilled at using QuickSnap cameras.
Ai is a big fan of Takahashi Rumiko's works, especially Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and Inuyasha. One of her biggest seiyuu influences is Sawashiro Miyuki, and she also admires Nitta Emi.[2]
She loves pandas.
Ai has mentioned that despite her shyness, she is the kind of person to jump into things out of curiosity, and chose to work part-time jobs at customer service jobs (such as at a convenience store, at an apparel shop, and serving tables at a steak restaurant) when she was younger in order to not only overcome her shyness, but also to gain enough experience that would help her voice act a wide range of characters.[1]

- She has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister.
- Ai learnt how to play the piano when she was younger, and later became a member of her middle school brass band. She mentioned that while she didn't particularly enjoy playing instruments, she was still immersed in it.[2]
