Haigou Meiko (拝郷 メイコ) is a singer-songwriter from Tokyo, Japan. She provided the samples for MEIKO's voice.
Background[]
In 1995, she formed a cover band Mama Mango with friends. She was a runner-up in Yamaha's High School Band Battle. Later, she joined the vocal unit "Fragrance Balance" and started writing lyrics.
Fragrance Balance was disbanded in 1997. In 2001, she made her solo debut.
In 2004, she provided voice samples for MEIKO, a VOCALOID voicebank originally developed by Yamaha Corporation and distributed by Crypton Future Media.
