==Background==
Fumiya had been watching anime from a young age and mentions being influenced by anime and other media - such as, him wanting to become an archaeologist studying Egypt and other ancient civilizations or an explorer due to Yu-Gi-Oh! and the 1999 American movie The Mummy. However, what made him decide to become a voice actor was the anime adaptation of CLANNAD, due to how much of an emotional impact it left on him.<ref>https://www.at-x.com/at-x_contents/at-x_summerfes2018/fes/012.html</ref> 

Fumiya later graduated from Amusement Media Academy, and became a trainee at his current agency Rush Style in April 2018. He then debuted as a voice actor later the same year.

Akito is Fumiya's first singing role.

*Fumiya is a big otaku and a fan of anime such as Oreimo, Sora no Otoshimono, Haruhi Suzumiya, etc. He has also mentioned that at one point of his life, he prioritized watching anime over playing video games or hanging out with his friends.<ref>https://www.animatetimes.com/news/details.php?id=1664860693</ref> In the same interview, he mentions that due to his appearance people don't initially believe it when he says he's an otaku.
