Side Story 1

Exhibit Hall
Mizuki: Alright, now that we've had a chance to see how Ena's doing, let's start from the beginning.
Mafuyu: Okay.
Kanade: Oh, I'd like to go back for one of the pamphlets they had at the reception desk. I forgot to take one earlier.
Mizuki: Good idea. Those usually list all the paintings and their titles, so I'll grab one too...!
Mafuyu: Then, shall we return to the entrance?
Mizuki: Okay!
Mizuki: Let's see... The theme of this exhibit is "Deep in the Night", right?
Kanade: Yes, and most of these paintings appear to go along with that theme. But...
Kanade: The night from each one feels so different.
Mizuki: Yeah, you're right...
Mafuyu: ...
Mafuyu: This painting...
Mizuki: Whoa... This one feels a lot darker than the others we've seen so far.
Mizuki: This alleyway turns pitch black up ahead, and it feels like the buildings on each side are closing in on the viewer. Like you're about to get crushed...
Mafuyu: I'm sensing so much pain.
Kanade: *Nod*
Kanade: This is incredible. I didn't realize a painting could invoke such deep feelings...
Mizuki: Me too...
Mafuyu: I see a bit of Ena in this...
Kanade: Yes, I'm also seeing some similarities.
Kanade: Ena's art also has this way of bringing a lot of different feelings to the surface.
Mizuki: Yeah. The illustrations she does for N25 in particular since they're like a visual representation of your feelings, Kanade, Mafuyu.
Kanade: Yeah.
Kanade: It made me realize just how much Ena's art has supported us.

Mizuki: Alright, we're pretty far in now. The next painting is...
Mafuyu: This one...
Kanade: Oh wow.
Mizuki: Yeah.
Mizuki: How do I put it...? A lot of feelings went into the other paintings we saw...
Mizuki: But there's more to this one. It feels different for some reason...
Kanade: It's titled... "A Peony Blooming in the Night"...
Mafuyu: "A Peony Blooming in the Night"...
Kanade: It does feel different from the others for some reason.
Mizuki: Hmm... But all the technical stuff feels the same. His style hasn't changed, and the colors he used aren't wildly different or anything...
Mizuki: What sets this one apart...?
Mafuyu: ...
Mafuyu: Light...
Mizuki: Huh?
Mafuyu: Light is more central to this painting.
Mafuyu: He had light in his other paintings, but it looked like it was emphasizing the night and darkness...
Mafuyu: But the light in this one feels special for some reason...
Kanade: I agree. Something else went into this painting. Something much deeper.
Mizuki: Something deeper...? Right.
Mizuki: I have no idea what Ena's dad was feeling when he drew this painting...
Mizuki: But it's clear that it means a lot to him.
Mafuyu: I agree.

Mafuyu: ...that's the last one.
Mizuki: Yup! I'm glad we got to take our time and see all of them.
Mizuki: Oh, is that a gift shop? I wanna get some postcards of the paintings I really liked.
Kanade: In that case, I'd like to take a look too. How about you, Mafuyu?
Mafuyu: I promised Miku and the others that I'd bring back some souvenirs, so I'll join you.
Mizuki: Then, let's take a look! Let's see... The postcards are all...
Mizuki: Over there! Let's go♪
Kanade: They have quite a wide selection here. They even have some different paintings to the ones we saw today...
Mafuyu: ...
Mafuyu: (Miku might like this painting...)
Mafuyu: Oh...
Mafuyu: (It's that one... "A Peony Blooming in the Night"...)
Mafuyu: ...
Kanade: Do you like that one, Mafuyu?
Mafuyu: Huh?
Kanade: I had to ask since you've been staring at it for quite a while.
Mafuyu: I don't know...
Mafuyu: But I can't stop looking at it for some reason.
Mizuki: Then, wanna buy these together? I was also thinking about getting some postcards of this one!
Mafuyu: Okay, that sounds good...
Mafuyu: In that case, I'd like to also get this one.
Mizuki: Okay! Then, let's take these up front♪

Side Story 2

Yoisaki Household - Kitchen
Kanade: We're back.
Mafuyu: We're back...
Kanade: I know we talked about having dinner once we returned, but it's still a little early...
Kanade: How hungry are you, Mafuyu?
Mafuyu: Not all that much. We did just go to that cafe with Mizuki.
Kanade: True, and I'm not very hungry either. So, let's have dinner a little later, shall we?
Mafuyu: Okay.
Mafuyu: In that case, can I go over to SEKAI?
Kanade: To SEKAI?
Mafuyu: Yes. I'd like to take over the souvenirs I bought for everyone.
Kanade: Right. Then, I'll go with you.
Empty SEKAI
Mafuyu: Oh...
Mafuyu: Miku, there you are.
Miku: Oh... Did you just get back from Ena's dad's exhibit?
Mafuyu: Yes, we just returned. And I came to give you these.
Miku: These are... Cards?
Mafuyu: Postcards. There's enough for everyone, so please take any that you like.
Miku: Thank you... I'll let the others know later so we can choose together.
Miku: Oh, is this one of his paintings?
Kanade: Yes. We actually saw it in person earlier today.
Miku: I see... It's beautiful...
Miku: But also a little sad for some reason...
Kanade: Oh, the theme was "Deep in the Night", so many of the paintings there were rather dark...
Miku: "Deep in the Night"...? I see...
Miku: This painting...
Kanade: Oh, this painting is called "A Peony Blooming in the Night."
Miku: "A Peony Blooming in the Night"...?
Mafuyu: Do you like it?
Miku: Yes. The other paintings were also nice...
Miku: But this one seems a little different...
Miku: Like some special feelings went into it...
Mafuyu: You feel that way too, Miku?
Miku: Huh?
Mafuyu: We thought the same thing. This painting felt different for some reason
Miku: You too, Mafuyu?
Mafuyu: *Nod*
Mafuyu: When I saw this painting, I initially felt warmth...
Mafuyu: But also a tremendous amount of pain.
Mafuyu: A sort of deep despair and internal struggle...
Miku: Yes... I also saw pain hidden within this painting.
Miku: But there's also light.
Mafuyu: Light...?
Miku: Yes.
Miku: So, this flower... I have to think it means quite a lot to Ena's dad.
Mafuyu: I agree.
Mafuyu: This painting seems to encapsulate a wide range of feelings.
Mafuyu: I don't know what those feelings are exactly...
Mafuyu: But I'm glad I got to see it.
Miku: *Nod* Me too.
