Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (松岡 禎丞) is a voice actor from Hokkaido, Japan. He is Bakuno Reki's voice actor.
Background[]
At the age of 15, Matsuoka was inspired by Ishida Akira's performance as Nagisa Kaworu in the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, which Matsuoka watched at the recommendation of a friend, and first learned about the voice acting profession.
While aspiring to become an auto mechanic in his senior year of high school, he searched for a voice acting school in Hokkaido, but went to Tokyo after receiving advice that it would be difficult to succeed without going to a school in the capital. After graduating from Yoyogi Animation Gakuin while working as a newspaper scholarship student, he joined the Japan Narration Actors Institute. After auditioning in 2009, Matsuoka became a member of I'm Enterprise agency and made his debut as AKX20000 in Higashi no Eden.
He rose to popularity after voicing Kirito in the 2012 anime Sword Art Online, and has continued to reprise his role as the character ever since.
