She left Clare Voice on November 30, 2018 because her contract with them had expired. Background[]

When Yui was in kindergarten, she had expressed her desire to appear on TV, which led to her older sister applying her for the theater company Touhai. There she was a child actress until the end of 6th grade. Due to her admiration for Matsuura Aya, Yui decided to audition for Morning Musume. While she was not chosen for Morning Musume, she instead joined the idol group HAPPY! STYLE Rookies in 2008. She graduated from the group on May 6, 2009.

She debuted as a voice actress in 2008 by providing the voice of one of the avatars for Sega's 3D internet browser game, Internet Adventure (インターネット・アドベンチャー). She received her first anime role in 2009 as Mint in Yumeiro Patissiere.

In 2009, Yui performed the motion capture for Hatsune Miku for the game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA.[1]

In May 2010, Yui formed the unit YuiKaori with Ishihara Kaori, who had also been a member of HAPPY! STYLE's sub-unit Team DEKARIS with her. In December 2011, she joined the idol group StylipS, which consisted of her, Kaori, and the other two ex-Team DEKARIS members Noto Arisa and Matsunaga Maho. She graduated from StylipS on April 20, 2013 because it was hard to balance with her studies. On March 31, 2017, it was announced that YuiKaori would halt activity on June 30 so both girls could focus on their solo careers.

On April 1, 2012, Yui announced her solo debut with King Records. Later her debut single "Raise" was released; the title track was used as the ending theme for the "Campione!" anime. On August 15, 2022, her singing activities were transferred to Nippon Columbia.
