He also has dark gray pants with a belt.
At the end of the On Your Feet event, he decides to temporarily close down WEEKEND GARAGE in order to fully start mentoring Kohane and her groupmates, following their defeat in Taiga's showdown and after seeing how determined they are to surpass RAD WEEKEND. He gives each member a different task to help them achieve this goal, as he believes Vivid BAD SQUAD can fulfill and even go beyond Ken's dream. In BURN MY SOUL, Akito's task was to reignite and gather their audience again, The first concerto revealed that Toya's task was to compose Vivid BAD SQUAD's new songs and become their track composer, and in Whip Yourself into Shape!, An's task was to get all the locals to support her.

Koutarou's eyes are a light shade of hazel, and his hair is short and brown. He wears a red shirt under a blue-on-the-inside purple-on-the-outside hoodie with an asymmetrical zipper and gray camouflage pants. At his left hip is a pair of gray over-the-ear headphones.
He respects Ken, but initially thought that his daughter An doesn't have talent and is just using her father's popularity. In Vivid BAD SQUAD's Main Story, he sabotaged Vivids' first live performance and created an "opportunity" for Vivids and BAD DOGS to confront each other. However, he later saw Vivids' true skill and apologized for ruining their first event, and started practicing and honing his own singing skills even harder.
He was referred to only as "Musician" in the group's Main Story until his name was revealed in the STRAY BAD DOG event story. In the game's assets, he is referred to as "Cord Nukio" (lit. pulling the cord, referring to his sabotage in Vivid BAD SQUAD's Main Story).
In the THE POWER OF UNITY, Koutarou reveals that he wanted to surpass RAD WEEKEND because when his younger brother was born, he wanted to be a cool big brother to him. He was also amazed by Akito's singing skills, mentioning that he and the other members of Vivid BAD SQUAD acted as a catalyst for wanting him to improve even further, as Koutarou, in his own words, "used to sing for no real reason other than being kinda good at it".
In the Rekindle the flame event, it is revealed that Koutarou started working part-time at WEEKEND GARAGE after being invited to do so by Ken.

He disapproves of Toya's decision to become a street musician, and believes Toya is wasting his time and talent. However, he eventually starts mellowing out, and at the end of Nocturne Interlude it is implied he recognizes Toya's passion for street music, despite admitting to not understanding what people see in that genre.
It is eventually revealed in the Time to take off! event that Harumichi's dislike, or rather, grudge for street music stems from his past. 30 years ago, when he was a college student studying as an exchange student in the United States, he was made fun of by some street musicians for being into classical music, as they called it old-fashioned. The interaction left such a strong impression on Harumichi that since then, he started looking down on the genre as a whole.
