Honami
(Her voice has so much more power and emotion behind it now, and it's so much fun to drum to it...!)

Honami
(She did say that she worked on a song that we don't usually play for the Fan Festival, so could that be why...?)

Saki
Yeah, I noticed that too! I couldn't help but dance a little while I played when I saw some people really getting into a groove♪

Shiho
Things won't be that easy, but we'll keep improving as we practice and play in more shows. For now, we should just maintain the pace we've established.

Shiho
Oh, I need to talk to the manager about our next show. Also, I should ask about my shift schedule, so you guys can go on ahead without me.

Shiho
But this is really no big deal, so I can handle this on my own. If something does come up, I'll be sure to ask.

*Footsteps*

Manager
Hey, Hinomori. Leo/need's coming along pretty nicely, huh?

Manager
Likewise. I can't wait to see where you girls go as you keep getting better and better as a band.

Manager
Oh, that? You don't have anything to worry about since the owner and I like your band so much.

Manager
Don't let that get in the way of you guys performing in any shows, alright?

Shiho
But we can't keep doing this forever, so starting with our next show, I'd like it if we could be treated like any other band when it comes to ticket sales.

Manager
If you say so, Hinomori. Shall we start discussing terms now?

*Footsteps*
Honami
(Saki and Ichika are working so hard between writing songs for us and practicing for our shows...)

Honami
(Shiho's been handling all the paperwork for those shows, while working with us on an individual basis during practices...)

Honami
I'm still not sure if there's anything extra I can do for us, but I want to help. I'll try thinking of something...

Ichika
Our show today went better than expected and it feels like all our hard work is finally starting to pay off.

Shiho
I mean, we're practicing every day, and you're all starting to get used to performing on stage.

Ichika
Still, I know we've come a long way, but at the same time, I know we still have a lot to work on and need to keep practicing.

Shiho
You mean the song Ichika was writing lyrics for after our first show? Didn't you say that you were still working on the melody for it?

Saki
It started with me wondering how some of my ideas would sound, and before I knew it, I ended up with a whole pile of them!

Saki
Hehe. I just wanted to turn what I was feeling into music! Kinda like what Ichi said during our last show, you know?

Shiho
Do we have a consensus? Why don't we run with it? I have a feeling it'll do pretty well if we play it live.

Ichika
We've been playing mostly the same songs during our shows, so it would be nice to introduce a new one during our next show.

Honami
Um, everyone... How would you feel about me putting together the schedule leading up to our next show?

Honami
I remember most of what we did after our first song was finished, including how we practiced playing it for that show, so I think I can put one together.

*Footsteps*
*Door Opening*
Ichika
Exactly. We'd like to have it ready in time for our next show, so we're having Honami see if that's possible based on our current schedule.

Honami
Well... Today, we'll practice like normal, and if we really work on this song for an hour each day, we could conceivably be ready in three-days time.

Honami
Which would leave making adjustments during practice. Our last one took around two weeks, so I suspect this one will take just as long...

Ichika
We'd been playing everything by ear up until now, but having an actual schedule in front of us like this really tells us what we'll need to do by when...

Honami
Okay, I'll make those adjustments. Just tell me about any other clashes if you think it's going to be an issue.

Honami
I appreciate your concerns, but this schedule wouldn't mean anything if it becomes too unrealistic, no?

Shiho
She's right... There'd be no point in pushing ourselves too hard. We need to think about this based on what we have now.

Shiho
(We all want to see our new song become a reality and show everyone how fun it is to play music.)

Shiho
(Based on this schedule, it might be better for them to focus on practicing than selling tickets for our show...)

Saki
I came up with this while thinking about how much fun it is to play in shows with you guys, but it still doesn't seem right...

Shiho
But the chorus feels a little thin because of how it lacks any deeper meaning if that makes sense.

Shiho
In my opinion, if you really want to get your message to hit home, you'll need to give the first two verses more substance.

Honami
But we have a better idea of where we want our song to go now, so I'm sure we'll be okay as long as we keep chipping away at it.

Shiho
Yeah, it starts off strong too. What if we make the second verse also sound a little more subdued by using more minor chords instead?

Honami
We should be able to finish the whole thing if we keep this up. I know it won't be easy, but would it be okay if we kept going?

Saki & Ichika
Yeah!

Saki
Y-Yeah... This song does sound a lot like our first one. I might be biased towards this kind of music...

Shiho
There's nothing we can do about that. You like what you like. No one's capable of doing everything, and it's actually pretty common to mirror music that you like.

Shiho
At the same time, you both put a lot into this song, so it would be nice to add more of a personal touch.

Honami
Me too. I can't wait to see what she made for us. In the meantime, we should finish cleaning up here.

Manager
Ah, good. Thank you. Nice work.

Shiho
(I managed to get a hold of that bassist who's usually here and they even said that they'll see who'd be interested, so that should be a few more tickets...)

Manager
By the way, Hinomori, how are ticket sales going? It's your first time, so it can't be easy.

Shiho
Oh, um... I've been selling them by myself because the others in my band are a little busy right now.

Manager
What? All by yourself?

Manager
I see...

Manager
But I'm sure you've come to realize that it's harder than it looks. Selling all thirty won't be easy.

Shiho
But we've decided to have a new song ready for our next show, so I want them to have time to practice playing it.

Shiho
Which is how I arrived at selling these tickets on my own. I believe it's what is best for my band.

Manager
If you say so, Hinomori. I can't stop you...

Manager
But I'd like for you to at least keep this in mind...

Manager
Bands that make one person carry most of the load usually don't last very long.

Manager
I understand that you have a lot on your plate right now, but if this keeps happening, nothing good is going to come out of it.

Manager
It'll probably also start affecting your music.

Manager
I like Leo/need. I like your band's music. I want to keep supporting you and seeing your band grow.

Manager
I know that it's none of my business, but I sincerely believe that you should talk to your friends about this. One person shouldn't have to do all this on their own.

Shiho
Yeah, we're gonna have to play things by ear while we make any adjustments we think are going to be necessary.

Ichika, Saki & Honami
Okay!

Ichika
Hehe. I understand how she feels. I had a lot of fun playing that song together with everyone too.

*Footsteps*
*Drumming*
Honami
(Which leaves the leadup to the chorus... The last time we played this, it really felt like my and Saki's sounds weren't meshing well.)

Honami
(Maybe I should tone down my drumming to let the synth shine through more since this is such a happy song.)

*Rustling*
Honami
Oh, I wonder what was on Shiho's mind today. I could've sworn that she was trying to tell us something...

Honami
(I couldn't find Shiho at her class or the cafeteria. It looks like she hasn't even read my messages. Where could she be having lunch?)

*Beep*
Honami
Y-Yes...! I was hoping to check in with you about what we'll be doing for practice next week...

Shiho
We'll be going through our new song on Sunday, so we're all gonna need to brush up on any parts that were giving us trouble until then.

Rin
What?! But you were here 'till really late last night, Miku-P! You're really gonna practice more?!

Rin
Huh? Why not? I just think your work ethic is amazing and you look really cool when you're really focused like that♪

Shiho
Yeah, it still doesn't sound quite right. We could tone it down a little, but that might also make it sound dull. I'm really not sure what to do at this point.

Saki
Hmm... We'll just have to keep making small adjustments, like how the song sounds during and around the chorus.

Ichika
I'd like to make some changes to the lyrics and want someone to bounce ideas off of if you don't mind.

Saki
We'll be fine, Shiho! I mean, it's my melody that needs work. I want to have everything ready for next time!

Ichika
And I'll be there with her. I already feel pretty bad about how much you've been working with us one-on-one...

*Footsteps*
Honami
Remember how I saw you calling someone the other day? You seemed really worried about something and it's been on my mind since...

Shiho
Normally, bands that play at live houses have to sell tickets in order to be allowed to actually perform in a show.

Shiho
But I know how hard it is to operate a live house like that, and I felt bad about how we were being given special treatment.

*Beep*
Honami
Shiho, I understand that you don't want me to tell Ichika or anyone else about this, but wouldn't it be better to share the load...?

Shiho
We're still working on our new song, right? Based on what I saw today, it's going to take a few more days to hammer everything out.

Shiho
And if we have to start selling tickets to play in shows, we won't have enough time to create, practice and finish any new songs.

Shiho
So for now, I want all of you to keep working on our new song. You can leave selling tickets to me.

Honami
We can keep making adjustments to the schedule. And if the others are too busy, I can help you. So, please...

Shiho
I want our next show to be better than our last. Ichika and Saki made these amazing songs for us, so I also want us to really know how to play them.

*Footsteps*
Honami
(It's true that the rest of us have to practice much more than her, but we're already cutting it so close...)

(Ichika and Saki are doing their best to finish their song, and me... I need to keep practicing to get ready for our next show.)

Honami
(Because of how much stage experience she already has, Shiho can learn new songs really fast...)

Honami
(So I can't help but agree with her when it comes to her being the one to sell tickets for us while we keep practicing...)

Honami
(I didn't know what to do and ended up in SEKAI. Maybe I should go ask to see if I can play the drums a little...)

Len
Can't you just tell me what's bothering you? I might be able to help you. We can work on it together.

*Hurried Footsteps*
MEIKO
Usually, they just talk it out and figure out a solution together, but that may not be the case this time...

Len
We're both too wound up right now to get through to each other. It might be better to wait a little bit.

Honami
Ichika and Saki are busy finishing up our new song, while I need to keep practicing if I'm going to be ready to play it during our next show...

Honami
We're a band. We're supposed to be working together, so I don't want to see her having to suffer like this...

Len
But it sounds like you already know what you want to do, Honami. You genuinely want to be there for Shiho, right?

Len
And you're trying to go pro, right? You have to work together, which also means you're not always going to agree on everything.

Honami
(In terms of what's best for our band, it seemed like the correct choice... At least, that's what I believed...)

Honami
(I don't want Shiho to suffer all on her own like this. I want to help her in any way I can...)

Shiho
Again, you won't have time to practice our new song if you help. We can't move forward unless we get better at performing in front of a crowd.

Shiho
Ichika and Saki are doing everything in their power to get our new song ready for our next show, so I want us to be able to do it justice.

Honami
I understand how you selling these tickets is probably the most logical decision based on our current situation.

Honami
I've never sold any tickets before, but you have to ask a whole bunch of people if they'd be interested in seeing Leo/need perform, right...?

Honami
You may have more experience than us when it comes to this, Shiho, but you're still suffering just like the rest of us.

Honami
What if this becomes more than you can handle? What if you can't play at your best or even be in our show because of this...?

Honami
Can't I help you with this? Ichika and Saki might be busy, but I think I can at least lend you a hand.

Shiho
Even if I have a lot of trouble dealing with it, I'll get through it. So please, Honami, just focus on practicing...

Honami
I promise to be ready to perform during our next show and also promise to help those two with our new song as much as I can.

Shiho
We don't have much time until our next show. It won't be easy to sell enough tickets while getting our new song ready.

Honami
I did! I asked someone I know and told them about how I'm in a band with my childhood friends. They seemed really interested and decided to buy a few.

Everyone
Yeah!

Shiho
(Okay, this is good... Each verse has more depth to it and Ichika's making that clear through her singing.

Shiho
(Saki's synth is really shining right before the chorus too. Honami was right about holding back the drums there.)

Audience
This song's pretty good. It's like it was made to cheer people up, you know?

Audience
Yeah, they've really upped their game too.

Shiho
(And no mistakes as far as I can tell. They're playing like they really mean it. All that practice is really paying off...)

Shiho
All the work you put into it really paid off in the end. I'm sure they feel the same way too. Nice work, all of you.

Saki
Right now, I want to keep Improving and give everyone better performances, so let's do a debrief before I forget that!

Shiho
Starting next month, I'm thinking about having us sell tickets for our show, Would that be okay with all of you?

Shiho
Until now, the owner and manager have been giving us free pass, but if we're serious about going pro, this is something we'll have to do eventually.

Honami
Finding ways to sell tickets alongside practicing won't be easy, but we can take it one step at a time...

Ichika
Me too. I've never done anything like this before, but I think we'll be fine as long as we work together...

Ichika & Saki
Okay!
