Shingaki Masaaki (新垣 正明), better known by his stage name Shingaki Tarusuke (新垣 樽助), is a voice actor, narrator and singer from Kumejima, Okinawa, Japan. He is Mafuyu's Father's voice actor. He is currently affiliated with Mausu Promotion.
Background[]
When Tarusuke was young, he often watched sentai and mecha shows, and as he grew older, he started watching music shows and movies, but at the same time admitted that he wasn't particularly interested in watching shows on TV. He learnt about voice actors in middle school, but also wasn't interested in the profession. He eventually wanted to become a voice actor after coming across an audition magazine and learning more about voice actors while he was studying at a cram school for university entrance exams in Saitama.
While his parents were initially and strongly against his dream, Tarusuke decided to attend a one-year vocational school called Eizou Techno Academia while in his second year of university, paying for the tuition with the money he had earnt from his part-time job.[1]
In 2001, after graduating from Eizou Techno Academia, he became affiliated with his current agency.
He is also active as part of the music duo Tarunyu with A-SIDE's vocalist, Issyo.[2]

Tarusuke's hobbies include singing and skiing. One of his skills is playing the guitar. He can also speak in the Okinawan dialect.
One of his favorite foods is green curry.
Trivia[]
- Tarusuke has an older brother.
- His stage name, Tarusuke, comes from his late grandfather's name. He has only seen his grandfather's memorial portrait as he passed away before Tarusuke was born.[1]
- In middle school, he was a member of the baseball club, and in high school, he joined the rugby club.
