- "This man is destined to be a star!"
- ―Tenma Tsukasa
Tenma Tsukasa (天馬司) is a second year student at Kamiyama High School. He's part of the musical show unit Wonderlands x Showtime.
Ever since Tsukasa watched a show performed by his favorite theater troupe, he has dreamed of becoming the star of a world-class show. At some point, he was hired to work part-time at a theme park, but the Phoenix Wonderland Stage he got assigned to draws no customers. One day he met Ootori Emu who wants to revive the stage to its former glory.
He also takes care of his younger sister, Tenma Saki, who was born with a weak body.
Tsukasa has orange-yellow eyes and short scruffy blonde hair with peach tips. His casual outfit consists of a blue blazer with a sunfish embroidered onto it.
He wears his school uniform with a yellow cardigan, like his sister.
His show outfit consists of a short, white, high-collar coat with a two-layered cravat. The collar, lapel, sleeve cuffs, and sides of the coat are blue with a silver/gold rim. A frilled fabric, blue on the top and yellow on the inside, extends from his left side. He wears black pants and knee-high boots.
Tsukasa is a very confident and charismatic person, referring to himself as a present and upcoming 'star'. He has a notable habit of showing off, alongside a tendency to get caught up in the moment. He's also shown to be a caring and reliable older brother towards Saki, often taking care of her.
As a young child, Tsukasa was less self-assured and more uncertain, frequently worrying about Saki and her sickly condition. He expressed a wish to see her and his parents smile and laugh again, but for a long time was unsure how to achieve this wish. However, that changed when his parents decided to take him and his sister to watch a show. It's during this show that Saki points out the performers with glee and Tsukasa shares in her excitement, seeing that she's smiling again for the first time in a long while. Looking around, he realises that everyone in the audience seems to be smiling, and becomes inspired by the performers' and their ability to spread happiness. He connects this ability to how performers are often referred to as 'stars'. Saki mentions how she wishes that she could see the show everyday, saying that although it's fun in the moment, it's sad when it ends. It's this notion that seems to motivate Tsukasa to become a 'star', with a goal to bring continuous happiness to those around him.
Unfortunately, as he grows up he forgets his original motivation for becoming a 'star', instead becoming fuelled by the idea of people paying attention to him and being impressed by him.
A list of characters Tsukasa interacts with in the game.
Ootori Emu: Fellow group member. They're working together to restore the Phoenix Wonderland Stage to its former glory, but Tsukasa thinks she's weird and never listens to anyone. While he may get exhausted by her antics, they bond over their mutual desire to make people smile with their shows.
Kusanagi Nene: Fellow group member. Nene thinks he's an idiot. Tsukasa has respect for her abilities as an actor and singer.
Kamishiro Rui: Fellow group member. Tsukasa thinks he's awesome, but crazy. The two are a well-known "duo of weirdos" at their high school.
Tenma Saki: Younger sister. She was born with a weak body so Tsukasa takes care of her. He wanted Saki and her childhood friends together again, since he blamed himself for not preventing their friendship becoming strained. Tsukasa is often showing off in front of Saki and the others, which ends in chaos, much to Saki's embarrassment. Despite this, Tsukasa is working hard to protect her friendship so it will not be strained anymore.
Aoyagi Touya: An underclassman who "looks up to" Tsukasa. The two are childhood friends, as Tsukasa's mother is a piano teacher. In the Kamikou Festival event, Touya mentions that he considers Tsukasa his "savior", as it was Tsukasa who told him it was okay to do the things he wanted, and to not do things he hated. This gave Touya the courage to quit classical, and he says if it weren't for Tsukasa, the person he was today wouldn't exist.
Shinonome Akito: An underclassman who does not look up to Tsukasa. Akito considers him (together with Rui) a weirdo, and seems to enjoy teasing him. After learning more about his and Touya's relationship, Akito mentions that he owes him his thanks for allowing him and Touya to meet.
Hoshino Ichika: A friend of his sister's. He's grateful that his sister has good people to take care of her when he can't. Though Ichika sees him as a reliable older brother, she also struggles to find good qualities about him other than being loud.
Mochizuki Honami: Saki's childhood friend. Tsukasa trusts Honami because she is closer to Saki, she takes care of her and respects her as her friend.
Tsukasa is either featured in or has an alternate vocal of the SEKAI versions of the following songs:
